THE ENTITY'S ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION


TITLE I - NAME – MAIN REGISTERED OFFICE

Article 1. - Name.

The association founded for an indefinite period shall be called the "Pakistan Overseas Association Forum", abbreviated to "POAF".

Pursuant to article 47 of the Law, instruments and documents produced by the international association shall feature its name and the words "international non-profit-making association (or abbreviated to "AISBL" in French)

Article 2. Main registered office

Its main registered office shall be located at 4400 Flémalle, Grand'Route, 36, in the legal district of Liege.

TITLE II – Aims and activities

Article 3.

The association shall pursue the following non-profit-making aims of international relevance:

Provide its members with administrative, social, legal... assistance in order to promote:

  • The well-being, employment, training, basic and advanced education

  • The protection of human rights, the protection of property rights, voting rights

  • cooperation, an understanding of disadvantaged people in Pakistan and in the world, and working for their empowerment.

The association may carry out any civil, movable or immovable transaction and offer its assistance, cooperation and participation, by any means, to companies or bodies pursuing the same aims or whose activity could help or may help in the achievement thereof.


The activities the association is proposing to undertake to achieve its aims are as follows:

  • Facilitate the interaction between the OPF (Overseas Pakistan Fondation) and the POAF in order to lend assistance to expatriate members or those who have lived over 10 years abroad:

  • Lend assistance to members by promoting democratic values and letting them know their rights in Pakistan and anywhere in the world;

  • Facilitate an understanding of multicultural values and ensure a respect for human rights in Europe, in Pakistan and elsewhere in the world, all in the interests of peace and prosperity;

  • Present, encourage and develop a network of reference person contacts at all levels of proficiency and within all age categories in order to promote efforts to improve.

  • Organise events and celebrate days of national, cultural and social relevance in order to facilitate the development of education, access to healthcare and, on a global scale, assistance in the event of disasters;

  • Undertake, facilitate the social dimension of returning to the country, as a result of donating gifts (flowers, cakes, souvenirs...);

  • Encourage harmony amongst expats as a result of protecting their social interests in compliance with the laws of the host country;

  • Establish legal aid for members to help solve questions about the unlawful assumption of their property rights during their return to Pakistan;

  • Maintain and promote the association and its members via blogs, websites.

  • Offer administrative support for travelling to Pakistan in the context of returns or visits.

This list is not exhaustive because any action helping to facilitate assistance to people and families in compliance with the law may be considered.

TITLE III – MEMBERS

Article 4. – Members.

The association shall be accessible to Belgian citizens and foreigners.The Association shall comprise current members, associate members and honorary members.

Article 5. - Current members

The minimum number of current members may not be less than three.The first current members shall be:

Mr MINHAS Choudhry, living in Flémalle, Grand'Route, 38, supra;

Mr RAZAQ Muhammad, living in Herstal, En Laixheau, 10, supra;

Mr MINHAS Imran Hamza, living in Flémalle, Grand'Route, 38, supra;

A current member shall be any person accredited as such by the governing board acting by a simple majority of the votes.

Solely current members shall enjoy the full extent of the rights granted to members by law and herein.
